The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon.  In 1789, a local midwife is called upon to investigate the death of a man found frozen in the river. When her conclusions are disregarded, how will she find the truth?  

Join us for a timeless tale of treachery and treason in a kingdom far, far away. No acting talent is required, but interactive participation according to instructions on your cue card is what creates the fun!

Come read to our visiting therapy dogs! Relax and explore stories with one of the pups. When you arrive, you will sign up for a time slot of 15 minutes. 

Best for ages 1-5. Join us for a Spanish and English language storytime that features stories, songs and dance! Kids and families of all languages are welcome.

Come hang out at the library and try some delicious treats from countries around the world through Universal Yums.

Best for ages 0-4. Come and read stories, sing songs and play with bubbles and toys! 

Find out what the Friends of the Library are doing? All are welcome. 

Best for ages 4+. Stop by and pick up a surprise craft to make at home. While supplies last. 

Come enjoy an afternoon of sewing. All are welcome.  

English as a Second Language Classes  are taught by South Suburban College Instructors at the Library. On Saturdays, September 21  - December 14, 9:30 am - 1:30 pm (no class on November 30).

Small prizes will be awarded. Please register.  

All ages welcome. We invite our families for a night under blanket forts! Build a "campfire,” name your corner of the fort and tuck in with a flashlight and snack as you read a few stories with your loved ones.

Agenda and Meeting Minutes 

Best for ages 1-5. Toddlers and preschoolers are welcome to bring their grownups to create simple, awesome art. Registration suggested; limited supplies. 

Listen to pop music, enjoy the fun of Pop Rocks, all while making your very own Pop Socket. Registration required.  

Best for ages 3+. Come sing songs, read stories and make a craft! Registration suggested; limited supplies. 

Best for ages 6+. Junior scientists, time to get your science on! We’re forging safe science experiments using common household supplies and ingredients that you can later recreate at home. Registration suggested. 

Drop in for a casual night of yarn crafts. Bring your own project or start one with the group. Snacks will be provided, and some knit/crochet supplies will be available to check out. 

Start your evenings with a delicious cup of coffee and a fun craft! Invite your friends and family an enjoy a relaxing evening of crafting together. Please register; limit 12.
