All ages. Build with us! The first half of LEGO Club will be a free build. The last half, we’ll ask builders to create something from our theme of the month. Builds will then be on display in the Children’s area for all to see.

Best for ages 4+. Stop by and pick up a surprise craft to make at home. While supplies last. 

Best for ages 0-8. Kick off the weekend with a storytime at the library. Read a story, sing a song and finish it off with a dance.

Best for ages 0-10. Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffie to this storytime for some sleepytime stories, songs and rhymes. 

Best for ages 6+. Junior scientists and artists, time to get your science and art on! We’re exploring through the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math one experiment and challenge at a time. Join us!

Best for ages 6+. Try out a new hobby with us! Join us Saturday morning for a new project— like drawing, crafting, board games or maybe even a science experiment. Explore with us! Registration suggested. Space is limited. 

Best for ages 3+. Fun for the whole family! Create a crafty art project that the whole family can enjoy doing together. Registration suggested.

Best for ages 6+. Play a friendly video game match with new and old friends and battle it out in the digital arena on one of our video game consoles. Registration suggested.

Get ready for an adventure like no other at the Midlothian Public Library's Summer Reading Challenge! Explore new worlds and join us for a journey filled with live animal shows, creative crafts, and tasty treats.

Best for ages 7+. Taste the world with us!  This summer, we’re trying out snacks from different countries and cultures. Rate your favorites as we learn about their countries of origin. Please be aware, common allergens may be present.

All ages. Come read a story or have a friendly chat with our visiting therapy dogs. When you arrive, you can pick up a book from our reading cart or sit by one of the trained pups. 

Best for ages 5+. Kids are welcome to get creative in this self-directed program. We’ll have a craft kit and the basic supplies to create some cool art. While supplies last.
