Boxing Day Adult Tea Party

Come take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season with a relaxing tea party. 

“Boxing Day” is the name given to the day after Christmas in the United Kingdom and many countries influenced by British culture. It has traditionally been a day to give to the poor and those who work in positions of service. Theories of the origin of the name “boxing day” include the practice of putting such gifts in boxes or the practice of opening the alms boxes (charity donation boxes) to give the donations to the poor.

Those wishing to keep with the Boxing Day tradition of giving to others are invited to bring a non-perishable food item for the library’s micro pantry.
